We know that Halloween is the best part of the year for almost everyone, in where everyone can be a kid again and dress as they really want.
However, we do know that are some people that is not very Halloween friendly… We did not miss you! This time we share some things you can do to “save” your Hallo-weekend!

1. Día de los Muertos

Hollywood Forever’s 18th annual event salutes Jose Guadalupe Posada, the creator of La Catrina (you’d know her if you saw her: a smiling skull in a plumed hat). The grounds are peppered with 100-plus elaborate altars dedicated to long-gone loved ones, and four stages host music and dance performances.
2. Downtown Modernism

If you miss this marketplace, you’ll have to wait until spring before it returns to Vernon. See furniture company Modernica’s fiberglass shell chair mold in action or shop for home goods with a crepe and coffee in hand at one of more than 60 on-site vintage modern dealers.
3. Taste Talks L.A.
October 28/29
The Brooklyn-based food and drink festival is back in L.A. for round two, and man does it look delicious. Chefs like Curtis Stone (Gwen), Michael Fiorelli (Love & Salt), and Heather Sperling (Botanica) will be on hand for two days of dinners, talks, and parties. Kick things off Saturday night with a four-course, 100-person dinner at the Holding Co. ($99), then get a taste of all the goods at an All-Star Cookout at Mack Sennett Studios on Sunday ($49-$79). Or, if you’re trying to hit up all of the events/eat all of the calories, consider a weekend pass ($149).
4. Grand Central’s Market 100th Birthday
October 27
DTLA’s open-air landmark is having a birthday party on Friday, and everyone’s invited. If you’re the type who can eat cake at all hours of the day, show up right when the festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. to snag a free slice of Valerie Confections’ 100-layer cake. Or pop over for dinner: vendors will be serving up dishes inspired by the market’s history and the number 100 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. (here’s hoping that means 100 scoops of McConnell’s, or maybe 100 pounds of lox from Wexler’s). Bonus: they’ll be giving out tokens for a free round trip on Angels Flight, which means you’ll finally be able to live out your La La Land fantasies.
5. Pasadena Craftsman Weekend
October 27/28
Admire the work of architects like Greene & Greene and tile maker Ernest Batchelder during this celebration of early-20th-century design, where you can tour Craftsman houses and snag some decor of your own. While you’re in the area, duck into the Huntington to see its new exhibition of Tiffany favrile glass, which opened October 7.
6. The Night Before Christmas in 4D
October 20-31
Everyone’s favorite lanky AF skeleton returns to the silver screen at the El Capitan. These showings of the Tim Burton classic promise a few sensory surprises that go beyond your traditional movie fare, so don’t be shocked if it starts snowing in the theater when Jack heads to Christmas Town (or something along those lines—we’d be cool with whatever as long as Mr. Oogie Boogie doesn’t show up IRL).
