Woolworth Mansion’s history dates back to 1916 when store magnate Frank Woolworth built it for his daughter Helena. It is surrounded by its two “sister” buildings, also built by Woolworth for his other daughters. All were constructed by the architect Charles Pierpont Henry Gilbert who designed city and country homes for the wealthy.

The famous palatial estate has 20 rooms, including a 50-person dining room, a 35-foot-wide library, a gym and a staff suite, the perfect ingredients for mega, ultra-glamorous parties. Woolworth Mansion has a total of 18,000 square feet floorspace, seven floors, as well as three kitchens, an elevator and 14-foot ceilings. A fairy tale mansion!

Most of the original details are intact but the house was fully renovated to include all modern systems for extreme confort. The fabulous townhouse features a central foyer opening to a grand entry hall providing access to the main residence. With a massive fireplace the enormous entry includes three closets and an elegant powder room access to a kitchen in the rear as well as the wide landing of the grand master staircase.
