The Mission Inn Festival of Lights
Every year this famous hotel “dresses” itself with Christmas lights, creating a unique and free night to you and your family. Walk through the inside of the hotel and see their decorations, or you can walk outside and take pictures with Santa, ice skate or simply try all of the festive food that you can find across the street. This event is a must not just for you, but with whoever you bring with you, it’s a moment you’ll remember later on.
Ice Skating at Pershing Square in Los Angeles or Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego
Ice skate in the sun? No problem, you can do it both in Los Angeles and San Diego, it’s always an amazing experience since it don’t snow in downtown’s… It’s operational until mid-January, you can hangout with family or friends. It costs only $6 for an hour and $2 for skate rentals for the experience.
Griffith Park Holiday Train Ride
You can take a 10-minute ride around the 1-mile track with friends or family. The track is filled with Christmas lights and other things to look at and the train goes slow. For $4 a person, it’s one of the best things to do in this holiday season for less than the price of a movie ticket.
Newport Boat Parade (December 13-17)
Newport Boat Parade is a truly unique event, and is called one of the ten best holiday happenings in all the United States. Every year for the last 100 people have participated by designing their yachts to enter them into this four-day parade.
Lift to Mt. Baldy
This is a traditional Christmas in the snow spot. At over 8,000 feet of elevation, this area has snow for the family to play in, snowboard, hiking or just enjoy the view over Los Angeles. Every year, a lot of families take the lift to Mt. Baldy and spend there the day, from the morning until sunset.
Disneyland
Bring your family and be in the presence of all Disney friends. This is the best-known recommendation for Christmas because you’ll be always welcome to visit Disney’s paradise in California. This holiday season is not the same without this magical place.
