From June 26-27th, Oporto will be surrounded by the an amazing event dedicate to luxury design – The Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit. With a complete success on the first edition in 2018, this summit is back on for a second edition, in Oporto, to bring you the most exciting program in luxury design. The core idea for this event is to transmit innovative methods from the luxury and design industries that stand out for their craftsmanship.

Besides all the exciting things on this calendar for these amazing days, the attendees will also get to see a series of amazing arts and crafts in a live showcase. Through this unique showcase, there will be a number of master artisans that will show what they can do best! From ceramic painting, working filigree, metal working or tapestry, if you attend this event you will be able to see how these arts are done.

In its first edition, the Summit presented design brands on those panels, such as Luís Onofre (designer of luxury shoes and accessories and President of APICCAPS), the Michaelangelo Foundation (an international non-profit entity that celebrates and preserves master craftsmanship), Vista Alegre (porcelain factory in the Iberian Peninsula), Topázio (a Portuguese company that’s expert in the creation of unique designed hand-carved silver), Boca do Lobo (a Portuguese brand of furniture-art design recognized for its unique and innovative design always hand-worked), and many others.

Only exciting things are going to happen, and this year they chose incredible names on the design industry such as the renowned Designer Nini Andrade Silva, Ana Maria Vasconcelos from Belcinto, Conceição Amaral from FRESS, Carlos Coelho from Portugal Genial, Luis Pedro Martins representing the organization Turismo do Porto e Norte in a capacity of Chairman; writer Rita Sambado and journalist Marina Almeida. As far as International guests and speakers go, Covet Group included Diana Anghel, from the Institut National Métiers d’Art of France; Khaoula from Assouline and Christian Haas, which is one of the most renowned Master Artisans in the world. Top luxury brands like Swarovski, Lamborghini and Bentley will also be present!
