Kelly Wearstler was the main interior designer responsible for redesigning the Maison 140 Boutique Hotel. Today Los Angeles Homes brings you some pictures of this project.
When it opened in 1999, Maison 140 put interior designer Kelly Wearstler on the map as an up-and-coming hotel designer to watch. Under Wearstler’s guidance, the 44 guest rooms at the hotel have recently undergone a complete makeover inspired by belle epoque Paris.

The hotel had a make over with a modern interior design touch. Kelly Wearstler, although was born in South Carolina, lives in California, and nowadays works with both residential, hospitality and commercial projects.
The revamped chambers now feature a palette of persimmon and kumquat, including silk moiré wall coverings by Robert Crowder, alabaster lamps, and tufted headboards. Wearstler’s design choices—like mirrored wall panels and open fretwork screens—cleverly make the most of the rooms’ petite proportions.
